I need to make more memes :)
I was thinking about which singles Britney might choose to perform for her next WW tour.. and it feels like with her 7 albums and the 8th coming.. she is pretty much set up for a greatest hits tour. So should Vegas be greatest hits themed? Should she wait and devote an entire era for a GH? No GH ever at all in life?
All I know is I want Baby and Oops back, original remix and choreo, at some point in my lifetime.
Something will be announced soon. It might be Vegas or just a typical era with some promo, 4 singles, and a tour. Regardless of what she chooses to do for 2013 and 2014.. It wouldn’t be a Britney era without fans weighing in on their opinion as to how she can have a successful era. I think musically, she has it in the bag, and always will. In terms of her performances and IT factor/stage presence, I’ve been watching old videos all weekend. Mostly BOMT and OIDIA promo, along with fan made videos. I think because Britney doesn’t get the respect she deserves, many people just fail to give her the thought that goes along with how an artist evolves. Who was she? Three traits jumped out at me when I asked myself that. 1. She was a teenager and early 20s young girl. 2. She had to secure her status as a superstar. 3. She was mostly single and not a mother…… yea I mean that. I really believe that aging and motherhood will change a person. Whether it’s their maturity or their priorities, she has gone through both natural changes and unique ones as Britney Spears. We can never have that perfect mix that we had in the early 2000s because of these changes, but I believe we can have our perfect mix of Britney in an updated version. Two things that I feel she has now that she didn’t before are a rare experience in the industry, and her fans that evolved into crazy stans after 2007.
I’m not going to say what she should do, but why we should be excited. Being recently single, she probably feels some sense of freedom and relief. Last time she was single for sure [bc we don’t know exactly when her and Jason changed from business to personal] was probably right around the Mannequin and Circus choreos, which is fucking exciting to think about. The other reason is that she spent all Summer and Fall watching others perform and sing on stage, so who knows how that inspires other performers, but she said it did, so I believe her.
She still has her unique IT factor. Seeing her ringside for Circus, meeting her during FF and sitting behind her on XFactor proves that to myself… It’s always “Omg she is real!! Omg it’s really her!!” Beyond beautiful Inside&Out. She still has talent.. and no talent does not disappear. Britney and her team have chosen some great music and videos to record, and her dancing really is barely different from before. I can’t post a link bc I’m doing cardio and not sure how to link a YouTube video from my phone, but so much of 98’ to 2004 was arms, sharp upper body movement, and hair flips. What I said above about youth and having something to prove are what I think have a big impact on why her earlier years appear different. For those who don’t agree, well then I think that the Mannequin rehearsal, Circus rehearsal, Hot as Ice live, POM cage live, Radar live, POM European leg FF breakdown, “3” video, HIAM video, Get Naked live, her fluid movements in FF rehearsals, and random parts in FF tour that I prefer like the 2nd half of UpNdown, the end of HIAM, IUSA with her faces and high kick in FF and just her personality in IUSA for TCSBS, Slave FF , and GimmeMore finally live FF are what makes me believe that we should be excited. Her shreaky laugh on the talk shows with Simon were 100% her, her shopping in 2012 looking 23 again and gorgeous, her being more active on Twitter, her at the VMA being honored, her looking perfect during several XF tapings and during the handprint ceremony
